Green River Canal Fish Screen

Project Summary: As part of the Upper Colorado River Recovery Implementation Program this project consists constructing a new fish screen structure, appurtenant concrete structures and replace an existing siphon in the Green River Canal. The principal components of the work to be performed on this project include modifying and removing existing concrete structures, excavation; placing compacted embankment and backfill; furnishing and placing geotextile fabric, PVC canal liner, geocell cover materials filled with concrete; constructing cast-in-place concrete structures; furnishing and installing HDPE and PVC Pipe; furnishing and installing precast manhole structure; furnishing and installing a complete electrical system; furnishing and installing various sizes and types of water regulating gates and chain link fencing. Water from the Green River Canal is a vital resource to local farms and ranches in the area, all work will be completed in winter work conditions (November-March).
